Parking lot signage installation covers the sign, the post, and the concrete-set footing. Properly installed signage uses MUTCD-spec or owner-spec signs mounted on the correct post, set at the right height, in a concrete footing sized for Connecticut frost and wind loads. We handle stop, yield, directional, fire-lane, accessible-parking, and custom property signage.

What this service includes
Every project from Maisano Brothers Inc. covers the work that makes the result last.
Signage plan and quantity
We walk the property and lay out the signs the lot needs — regulatory, directional, accessible, and custom — and confirm mounting heights.
MUTCD-spec and owner-spec signs
We supply stop, yield, fire-lane, no-parking, accessible-parking, directional, and custom signs in standard reflective sheeting grades or owner-specified materials.
Sign post installation
Galvanised square or U-channel posts set into poured-concrete footings sized for frost depth and the sign's wind load.
Concrete-set footings
Footings are augered to frost depth and poured with proper concrete — not back-filled with crushed stone.
Vandal-resistant hardware
Signs are mounted with tamper-resistant or recessed hardware on lots where vandalism has been a problem.

- Existing sign posts have been hit and are leaning, broken, or pulled loose.
- You are designing a new lot and want signage installed with the original paving and striping.

Materials, equipment, and quality
The standards and details that separate work built to last from work built to look finished.
Concrete footings, not crushed stone
A sign post back-filled with stone goes crooked the first winter. Poured-concrete footings to frost depth keep posts plumb for the life of the sign.
Correct height for the sign type
Regulatory and accessible-parking signs have mounting-height standards. Our crew installs to spec, not to whatever feels right.
Reflective sheeting grade matched to the location
Engineer-grade vs. high-intensity prismatic vs. diamond-grade — the right reflective sheeting for the lighting conditions at your site.

Do you supply the signs or do I provide them?
Either. We carry standard MUTCD signs in inventory and can supply custom signs through our fabricator. Owners can also supply their own signs for us to install.
How deep does a sign post footing need to be?
Footings are augered to local frost depth (typically 42 inches in Connecticut) and poured with concrete sized for the sign's wind load. Larger signs require larger footings.
What's the right mounting height for an accessible parking sign?
Accessible-parking signs are mounted with the bottom of the sign at least 60 inches above the finished ground (taller for van-accessible signs that need additional plaques). We mount to spec.
Can you replace just a few damaged posts?
Yes — we replace individual damaged posts, including pulling the failed footing and pouring a fresh one.
