Guardrail installation puts standard W-beam barrier at lot perimeters, drop-offs, retaining-wall edges, and along shared private roads where a vehicle could leave the pavement and fall. Properly installed guardrail uses driven or cored posts, standard reflectorised W-beam, and end terminals that absorb impact rather than spear the vehicle.

What this service includes
Every project from Maisano Brothers Inc. covers the work that makes the result last.
Site walk and barrier plan
We walk the property and identify where physical barrier is required by drop-off, retaining wall, or vehicle-path geometry.
Post installation
Guardrail posts are driven into native ground or set in cored sleeves through existing pavement, at the spec spacing for the barrier system.
W-beam rail
Standard reflectorised W-beam is bolted to the posts with the correct hardware and elevation for the protected vehicle type.
End terminals
Crash-attenuating end terminals are installed at the start and end of each run so the barrier doesn't become a spear in a frontal impact.
Reflectors and delineators
Reflective delineators are added at intervals along the rail so the barrier is visible at night and in poor weather.
When this service makes sense
- Your parking lot ends at a drop-off, retaining wall, or steep slope.
- A shared private road has a curve where vehicles could leave the pavement and fall.
- An existing barrier is rusted, bent, missing posts, or has obsolete end terminals.
- An insurer or town inspector has flagged unprotected drop-offs on the property.
- You are designing a new lot or road and need barrier installed as part of the original work.
Not sure what you need?
Our free on-site estimate includes an honest assessment and a clear recommendation — no pressure, no obligation.

Materials, equipment, and quality
The standards and details that separate work built to last from work built to look finished.
Crash-rated end terminals, not blunt rail ends
An exposed W-beam end is a hazard in itself. We install crash-attenuating end terminals so the barrier protects rather than impales.
Right post-embedment depth
Driven posts have to reach below frost and into competent soil to resist impact loads. We embed posts to the spec depth, not just until the head sits at rail height.
Continuous reflectorisation
Barrier you can't see at night protects nothing. We install reflective delineators at the standard intervals so the rail reads in headlights and storm conditions.

Is guardrail required at parking-lot drop-offs?
Local zoning, the property's insurer, and the depth of the drop-off all drive the requirement. Most drop-offs over four feet at the back of a parking lot end up with barrier under current insurance and code expectations. We can confirm what your situation requires.
Can you install guardrail without disturbing the existing pavement?
Yes — where posts can be driven into native ground beyond the pavement edge, the existing surface stays untouched. Where posts have to go through pavement, we core sleeves so the asphalt stays intact.
What about retrofitting old guardrail with modern end terminals?
Yes — we replace blunt or obsolete end terminals on existing runs with current crash-attenuating designs without rebuilding the entire run.
Do you handle the engineering, or do I bring an engineer?
For standard parking-lot drop-offs and private-road runs we install to standard guardrail details. For unusual geometry or critical-impact installations we work with your engineer to a stamped design.
