Service Details

What this service includes

Every walkways & sidewalks project from Maisano Brothers Inc. covers the work that makes the result last.

Layout and pitch

We lay out the path and set a gentle cross-slope so water drains off instead of freezing on the surface.

Base preparation

We excavate and compact a stable base so sections do not heave or settle.

Forming and pour

We form straight or curved walks to the planned width and pour and finish the concrete.

Slip-resistant finish

A broom finish gives good footing in wet weather.

Joints and transitions

We place control joints and finish clean transitions to steps, driveways, and pavement.

Quality & Craftsmanship

Materials, equipment, and quality

The standards and details that separate work built to last from work built to look finished.

A compacted, well-drained base

Most cracked or sunken concrete traces back to what is underneath. We excavate, grade, and compact a stable base before anything is poured.

Control joints where cracks want to form

Concrete shrinks as it cures. Properly spaced control joints give that movement a straight, planned place to happen instead of a random crack.

One contractor for asphalt and concrete

Because we also pave, concrete aprons, walks, and curbing tie cleanly into new or existing asphalt — no second crew to coordinate.

Common Questions

Frequently asked questions

Can you replace just the damaged sections of a sidewalk?

Often, yes. If the base is sound and only some panels are cracked or heaved, we can replace those sections. If the problem runs the whole length, full replacement is usually the better value — we will tell you which applies.

Do you build walkways for commercial properties?

Yes. We build sidewalks and walkways for storefronts, offices, and other commercial properties, and can coordinate them with parking lot paving and curbing.
