The Challenge
The roadway in Cheshire, CT carried daily traffic and needed a surface engineered for ride quality and longevity — a fresh wearing course over a sound base, with clean transitions at edges and intersections.
Our Process
The crew worked from the same trucks, paver, and rollers used on every Maisano Brothers job — there is no chain of subcontractors between the estimate and the finished surface. The wearing course was milled, base issues were repaired, and a fresh hot-mix surface was paved and rolled to specification. Joints and intersection transitions were detailed by hand for a clean ride.
The Result
The completed roadway carries traffic on a ride-quality surface, with clean transitions and joints that should hold up for the surface's design life.
